Bitcoin analyst sees 'several more weeks' before BTC price breaks $70K

Bitcoin (BTC) remains below the $70,000 mark as it continues to consolidate. On May 26, BTC/USD briefly surpassed $69,500 before settling near key price levels, focusing around $69,000.

Despite the weekend surge, resistance levels capped the upside. Daan Crypto Trades noted liquidity building around $68.3K and $69.8K, suggesting these levels are crucial to watch in the short term.

Across BTC order books, increased liquidity around the spot price reduced volatility but raised the chances of a liquidity raid later. Keith Alan, co-founder of Material Indicators, emphasized the need for Bitcoin to flip $69,000 into support to aim for $73,000.

Analyst Rekt Capital highlighted resistance above $71,000. He pointed out that Bitcoin exited the post-halving “danger zone” but faces consolidation between $60,000 and $70,000 for several more weeks.

Rekt Capital's analysis indicates the market's struggle to break through the $71,500 range high resistance. This suggests that the consolidation phase could extend, potentially resulting in a red monthly close for May, consistent with the previous three years.
