According to research from NYDIG, the cryptocurrency’s direction will likely be influenced by how AI affects jobs, economic growth, interest rates and central bank liquidity.

NYDIG’s global head of research, Greg Cipolaro, argues that bitcoin reacts mainly to broader economic forces. If AI leads to widespread job losses and weaker wages, governments and central banks may respond with lower interest rates or stimulus spending. That surge in liquidity has historically supported bitcoin, which often rises when global money supply expands.
