Reports from the Guangxi International Communication Center (Cambodia) and the Cambodia–China Times stated that Chen Zhi, the founder and chairman of Prince Group, was detained by Cambodian authorities and subsequently repatriated to China. According to the reports, he has been handed over to relevant Chinese authorities to assist with an ongoing investigation. The situation has attracted attention due to Chen Zhi’s prominent business background and the international nature of the case.

This development follows an earlier announcement made by the U.S. Department of Justice in October 2025. At that time, U.S. officials revealed that they had seized approximately 127,271 bitcoins believed to be linked to Chen Zhi. The cryptocurrency holdings were valued at around $15 billion based on market prices at the time of the seizure, making it one of the largest bitcoin confiscations publicly disclosed by U.S. authorities.
