Bybit Confirms Executive Shake Up After Notcoin Deposit Delays

Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange, confirmed that several executives have changed roles following a delay in Notcoin (NOT) deposits earlier this month. This incident resulted in $32 million in compensation being issued to 320,000 users.

The delay occurred on May 16 when users faced issues depositing the newly issued Notcoin to Bybit. As a result, they couldn't immediately sell the asset, leading to losses. The exchange received 370,000 on-chain transactions, with 70% of deposits credited before the market went live.

News outlet Wu Blockchain reported that several executives voluntarily resigned, and Bybit has since recruited new technical and spot managers. However, a Bybit spokesperson clarified that the affected team members are not leaving the company but have been reassigned to other internal roles to align with strategic goals.

Notcoin, a game based on the Telegram messaging platform, is one of the largest cryptocurrency gaming projects with 35 million users. Early adopters of the game earned in-game balances convertible to a Notcoin airdrop.

Currently, Notcoin is trading at over $0.0115, more than doubling from a low of $0.0047 last week, according to CoinMarketCap. Bybit aims to enhance the customer experience through this executive reshuffle.
