Solana DeFi Protocol Kamino Sets KMNO Token Airdrop for April

Kamino, a Solana-based DeFi protocol, has announced an airdrop of its KMNO token slated for April, following a March 31 snapshot of eligible users. This initiative aims to distribute 7% of KMNO's total supply to its community. Kamino's approach is designed to reward user participation based on accumulated points, deterring airdrop farming via sybil attack prevention methods. The platform, which supports borrowing, lending, and yield generation through Solana ecosystem tokens, initiated a points program last year in preparation for this event. The KMNO token will not only facilitate governance from its launch but also allow holders to influence various aspects of the protocol, including incentive programs and operational decisions. With a total supply of 10 billion KMNO tokens, 10% will be in circulation from April. The initial community distribution accounts for 7% of the total supply. Kamino has plans for further token airdrops in future "seasons," focusing on rewarding long-term engagement and usage of its products. This strategy emphasizes building a committed user base and fostering active participation in the protocol’s governance and development.
