Erebor Bank Raises $350M at $4.35B Valuation

Peter Thiel-backed Erebor Bank is raising about $350 million in a new funding round that would value the startup at roughly $4.35 billion. The round is led by Lux Capital, with participation from existing investor 8VC, according to people familiar with the matter.  

Founded to serve crypto and technology-focused clients, Erebor Bank aims to capture business left behind after the 2023 collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. The firm is also broadening its reach into defense and aerospace sectors as it positions itself as a key player in specialized banking.
