Stablecoins Force Cathie Wood to Cut Bitcoin 2030 Target to $1.2M

Cathie Wood of Ark Invest has revised her most optimistic forecast for Bitcoin, lowering her 2030 price target from $1.5 million to $1.2 million. This adjustment is primarily due to the unexpected and rapid growth of stablecoins. Wood notes that stablecoins are "scaling much faster than anyone expected" and are now fulfilling roles she had previously anticipated Bitcoin would dominate, particularly in emerging markets and the global payments landscape. 

​Despite the reduced bull case, Wood remains highly positive about Bitcoin's long-term prospects. She still views Bitcoin as a significant asset poised to become a new global monetary system. Her confidence is bolstered by the ongoing trend of growing institutional adoption of the cryptocurrency, which continues to underpin her bullish outlook for the asset's value appreciation over the next several years.
