Alt5 Sigma Execs Exit After $1.5B WLFI Deal

Crypto firm Alt5 Sigma has abruptly parted ways with acting CEO Jonathan Hugh and COO Ron Pitters, though no explanation was given for their departures. The leadership shake-up comes just months after the company announced a $1.5 billion deal to acquire WLFI tokens from World Liberty Financial, a venture co-founded by members of the Trump family.  

Under the agreement, a Trump family entity is set to receive 75% of proceeds from WLFI token sales. Alt5 Sigma’s board is chaired by Trump ally Zachary Witkoff, with Eric Trump and co-founder Zachary Folkman serving as board observers, underscoring the close ties between the firm and the Trump family.
