Wolf Capital CEO Gets 5 Years for $9.4M Ponzi

Travis Ford, CEO of Wolf Capital Crypto Trading, has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for running a $9.4 million cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Ford admitted to defrauding approximately 2,800 investors by falsely promising lucrative returns while using new deposits to pay earlier participants and cover personal expenses.  

In addition to the prison term, Ford was ordered to forfeit more than $1 million and pay $170,000 in restitution. The case underscores the Justice Department’s continued crackdown on fraudulent schemes in the digital asset sector, warning investors to remain vigilant against high‑risk promises in crypto markets.
