Belarus Bans Foreign Crypto Trading

Belarus has introduced stricter cryptocurrency regulations after President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree banning individuals from trading digital assets through foreign exchanges or brokers. Under the new rules, all crypto transactions must take place on platforms regulated within the country, tightening state control over the sector.  

The policy specifically targets residents of the High Technology Park (HTP), including both private individuals and entrepreneurs. At present, only HTP-registered entities are permitted to operate licensed crypto exchanges in Belarus, reinforcing the government’s push to centralize and monitor digital asset activity.
