Bitcoin price unlikely to hit all-time high before the halving — Here’s why
Despite Bitcoin's impressive 91% rally to $52,000 in four months, analysts believe it may not surpass the $70,000 mark before the April 2024 halving. The required 34.5% gain to hit $70,000 would significantly boost Bitcoin's capitalization, potentially placing it above silver and the UK pound in value. Factors such as the resolution of regulatory issues and the introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US contribute to a positive outlook. However, current economic conditions differ from those in November 2021, when low interest rates and high inflation drove Bitcoin to its all-time high. Today's more contained inflation and investor expectations for S&P 500 earnings growth suggest less incentive to invest in alternative assets like Bitcoin. Although the spot Bitcoin ETF industry has shown strong growth, indicating a maturing asset class, Bitcoin's adoption and institutional inflow have not yet pushed its price to new highs. The future remains hopeful for Bitcoin's value increase, especially with the ongoing devaluation of the dollar, but a surge past $70,000 before the halving appears unlikely.
