NFT transactions increase as cryptocurrency and Bitcoin Dogs experience a boom

CryptoSlam's latest data indicates a significant uptick in NFT sales volume, showing a 32.8% increase in the past week, with total sales exceeding $422 million from February 26 to March 3. This represents a substantial rise from the $319 million recorded the week before, and a notable jump from the $218 million seen in the last week of January 2024. Among the highest-earning NFT collections over this period, Bitcoin-based collections have prominently stood out. Specifically, Uncategorized Ordinals, NodeMonkes, and NATCATS TAP NFTs have seen remarkable sales increases, generating over $40 million (up 160%), $34 million (up 134%), and $9 million (up 435%) respectively. Bitcoin has notably led the pack in terms of sales growth among the top 10 blockchain platforms, witnessing an 83% increase in NFT sales volume over the week. This growth outpaces that of Solana, which saw a 31% increase, and Ethereum, which experienced a 13% rise in sales volume. In a direct comparison of total NFT sales volume for the week, Bitcoin has narrowly edged out Ethereum, recording $159,422,112 against Ethereum's $158,564,872. This data underscores Bitcoin's emerging dominance in the NFT market, highlighting a shifting landscape where Bitcoin-based NFT collections are gaining significant traction and outperforming those on traditional platforms like Ethereum and Solana.
