The cryptocurrency market is one with endless potential and possibilities. Alot could happen here I mean for many people cryptocurrency has made them whilst others it have broke them all depending on what you came looking for, if you are here with the right know-how abilities then you should surely be in the favorable side.

Many enter this market with lack of proper knowledge and often they make mistakes which leads to great loss, they are individuals who have been left bankrupt from investing in the cryptocurrency market I mean yes that's real even others have lost their homes or other valuables from investing in cryptocurrency.

True we all want to hear the good stories about how crypto has made many millionaires but the truth is that it has also cost a lot of people and then we wonder why, why is it different for some and yet for others it tells a different story.

Well today I will talk about some of the reasons why I believe people lose in cryptocurrency.

Some of these reasons involves;

Market Volatility

Well the volatility of the cryptocurrency market is one of the major reasons why most inexperienced and naive people lose in the cryptocurrency market I mean for such a volatile market that even those skilled from time to time incur loses how much more for those with little or no experience, they enter the market with huge expectations only for their hopes to be dashed in an event of price moving violently against them.

The ups and downs in the cryptocurrency market is rather extremely volatile and if you are in the wrong side of the market it would really deal a major blow to you so when people invest in these market without accounting for the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, what happens is that they incur great losses.

So the market volatility is one of the leading reasons behind investors losses in the cryptocurrency market.

Lack of Knowledge

This is all too well another good reason most likely the most probable why people lose here, because most often than not they enter into a market they don't even have basic knowledge about, lack of knowledge makes them suffer greatly here and leave them in a state where they would have to lose Immeasurable funds.

Most people just want to invest in the cryptocurrency market because they have heard about how profitable it could be and for that reason they don't think it wise most times to carry out proper research or gain fundamental knowledge about what they are putting their money in to just along as it's cryptocurrency and this kind of attitude is wrong because it means they won't practice proper risk management and often they end up making investment decisions that are illogical and unsound which results to great loss of funds.

When you don't know you simply don't know and whatever you feel truth is without proper knowledge you won't survive here in the long run.

Scams and Fraud

This is a one that many of us are really familiar with, many projects and tokens here I mean there are thousands of cryptocurrency around and almost each day new ones are coming out from everywhere and most of them are just scams hiding under the guise of genuine project while running ponzi schemes and often we could fall into this trap even in our best effort to be cautious.

They come up in different ways even some initial coin offerings known as ICO are often fraudulent and after tricking well meaning investors into investors they would pack up we also have phishing links attacks as some of the popular scams and fraud in this space.

In life for almost every thing good there seems to be a corresponding bad and yes cryptocurrency could be a force for good yet it's also being used by many malicious individuals to run the greatest scams ever and this results in great loss.

Poor Risk Management

Many people have this problem, yes you might have knowledge about a project, you might manage to avoid all crypto scams and fraud and maybe the volatility of the market doesn't get you that much, still if you are not a good risk manager then you would end up destroying your financial life, no one needs to do it for you just you single handedly could ruin your financial life because of poor risk management.

You can't enter this market when you are not able to know your risk exposure and how much you willing to lost at a given time for a trade and ensuring that you are only investing what you can lose and be fine, not borrowed funds or anything of sort, this is vital really to remaining afloat in this market.

So one who doesn't practice good risk management is merely setting himself up for great loss.

So these are some of the reasons I personally believe people lose here because they are either naive and don't have proper knowledge or they don't practice proper risk management or maybe because of the extreme volatility of the cryptocurrency market and due to presence of scams and frauds in this space, it's important we know these and that would put one in a better position to mitigate it to be in a best position to gain and not lose from the cryptocurrency market.
